Cheese tortilla party

Making: 
Cheese tortilla!

6 servings prepared.

Here's what I have:

284 Grams of king Arthur masa harina
60 Grams cheese powder 
30 Grams butter powder 
419 grams hot water 



Preparation:

The dry ingredients were combined in the mixing bowl.

With the stand mixer set to stir I slowly added the hot water until the dough ball formed. Once everything was well Incorporated the adult wall was divided into six portions. A damp paper towel was placed over the dough so it didn't try out as the tortillas were cooked. 


Using a parchment lined tortilla press each dough ball was pressed just before cooking on the Comal. Each side was allowed to cook for 30-45 seconds before flipping. This allowed each side to dry out just enough.

The second cook was done until the tortilla puffed up and Browning was beginning to form.

Pasta party

Making:  Pasta noodles, trying out my new pasta extruder attachment.   4 servings total 2 sv fusili noodles 2 sv large macaroni  Here's what I have: 2 whole eggs  3 egg yolks  *3/4 cup egg white (addition) 160 grams corn flour  100 grams brown rice flour  1 pinch of salt  1 tbsp xanthan gum Preparation: Today we tried out the pasta extruder attachment for my KitchenAid mixer. The dry ingredients were sifted together in a large bowl. A well was created in the dry ingredients and the whole eggs and egg yolks are placed in the middle. These were beaten while adding flour continually from the sides.   Because the mix was turning out to be too dry and crumbly I ended up adding some additional egg white in quarter cup increments to the mix until a dough ball began to form. Cooking by the Book 1: Orc Bacon

The Book: Dungeons & Dragons Heroes Feast the official D&D cookbook Making: Orc Bacon (modified) 2 servings prepared  Here's what I have: 7 slices of thick-cut bacon  3 tablespoons light brown sugar  1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper  1 teaspoon garlic powder  1 tablespoon orange Ginger Spice 1 oz Veggie broth  Preparation: The convection oven was preheated to 375 degrees on convection setting. The bacon was placed on a wrap set into a baking tray and placed into the oven for 8 minutes.  While the bacon was cooking for the first 8 minutes I added the spices and veggie broth to a small pan and began to eat them up until I got a syrupy liquid.  Once the eight minutes were up I brushed one side with the sauce and placed back into the oven for three minutes.
