Reviewing: Amazing Apricot chicken  1 serving prepared  Here's what you get: Oops, I forgot this in the ingredients pic... Chicken breast  Green beans  Apricot jam  Balsamic vinegar  Chicken stock Thyme  Not used: Jasmine rice  Substitutes: 1/2 cup Carrots  1 oz veggie broth  The greenbeans: Like most HF veggie preparation this was straightforward. You just roast them at 425 for 12-15 minutes. The protein: The chicken was an easy cook since the cut is not too thick it took me about 11 minutes cook time, around 5 minutes rest time Cartots!: I substituted carrots for the rice because they would cook quicker and I've had enough rice heavy meals lately. These were cooked in a small saucepan with one ounce of veggie broth  The sauce: The sauce was quick, since you get all of the ingredients you just have to cut the shallot combine everything in the pan after the chicken is done and reduce it a little. The plat...

Reviewing: Pork cutlets with a cranberry pan sauce and rosemary roasted root vegetables. 1 serving prepared  Here's what you get: Carrots  Parsnips  Rosemary  Red Onion  Pork cutlets  Cranberry Jam  White wine vinegar  Chicken stock concentrate Added:  Garlic Scallion (not pictured) The roasted veggies: This is a two-part process, the total cook time will be about 30 minutes. I had the carrots and parsnips prepared ahead of time I just needed to chop up the Rosemary and onion.  *The onion requires you to prep two different ways, one for the veggies and one for the pan sauce. The protein: This is pretty straightforward since the pork cutlet isnt very large. It just needs to be cooked on a pan for the allotted time, 6 minutes total. The cutlets were set aside after.  The sauce: After removing the pork cutlets from your pan you'll start the sauce. As long as you have everything nearby it's pretty easy to put one...

Reviewing:   Crispy Buffalo spice chicken with blue cheese sauce, sour cream 'n' chive mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. 1 serving prepared One modification was made to eliminate gluten. This recipe is largely oven based making it perfect if you have other tasks to complete. The recipe can be found on the Hellofresh website.  Here's what you get: Yukon Gold potatoes  Carrots  Chives  Fry seasoning  Sour cream  Chicken cutlet  Panko bread crumbs (not used) **1/4 cup parmesan substituted  Frank's RedHot original seasoning blend Blue cheese dressing  Cholula hot sauce The potatoes: These were super easy to put together, I made them smoother than the picture suggested I ended up boiling and waiting until everything else was nearly done to finish them. Out of all the prep this took the most time to complete. The protein: Since I can't have panko, parmesan became the breading substitute. I didn't need to use butter for the...

Reviewing: Balsamic Pork with roasted green beans and rosemary potatoes. Serves 2 Here's what you get: Shallot  Yukon Gold potatoes  Green beans  Chicken stock concentrate  Rosemary  Pork tenderloin  Fig Jam  Balsamic vinegar This recipe is largely oven based which is nice if you have a day where you need to multitask. Like the first recipe from this box ingredients were pre-prepped and only one serving was prepared for this recipe. You can find the original recipe on the Hellofresh website. The potatoes:  While all of the potatoes were cut right out of the box I only used about a cup for tonight's dinner. Cooking is fairly easy you just pre-heat your oven,  get them prepared and put them in for the allotted time. I prepped and cooked the potatoes with a bit of shallots until mostly done in a cast iron skillet and removed them to continue on to the next step. *The rest of the prepped potatoes are refrigerated in water to be used ...

Reviewing: Hellofresh Baja Rockfish with yellow rice and salsa fresca. Serves 2 I only prepared a half serving for the salsa in this recipe but cooked all of the rice and Rockfish incase that didn't keep well uncooked. The chili pepper wasn't used because I'm a large baby about spicy stuff.  You can find the full recipe on their website.  Here's what you get: Grape tomatoes  Cilantro  Chili Pepper (not used) Jasmine rice  Sour cream  Cumin  Scallions  Lime  Turmeric  Mushroom stock concentrate Rockfish The instructions, were pretty easy to follow. I did some pre-prep once I received the box so most of the ingredients that needed to be cut were ready to go. If you don't have a lemon zester, a cheese grater that has a spice grater section will work just fine. The rice: The package you receive will be about half a cup uncooked. This was pretty easy to prepare and should be the first thing you make per instructions, that way it ...
