Try it out: Hellofresh 57

Reviewing: Mojo pork tacos with creamy cilantro slaw 2 servings prepared  Here's what you get: Lime Orange Cilantro Ground pork Cumin Chicken stock concentrate Dried oregano Garlic powder Coleslaw mix Mayonnaise Sour cream Flour tortilla (not used) Substitutes: Lime corn chips The Cilantro slaw: To make the slaw the mayonnaise, cilantro, sour cream, garlic powder and lime juice were added and tossed together. This was then salted and peppered to taste The protein: Half of the lime and all of the orange were juiced before cooking.  The orange and lime juice were added to the cumin, stock concentrate, 1/2 tsp sugar, oregano and half the garlic powder.  In a non-stick pan the pork was added and cooked until browned. The mojo sauce was then poured over this and cooked until the juices were reduced. Cilantro Ginger meatballs with veggie salad

Making: Cilantro Ginger meatballs with veggie salad 1 serving prepared  Here's what I have: Cilantro Lemon juice Honey  Ginger Ground pork Tomatoes Cucumber Onion Garlic Avocado oil Almond flour Preparation: Half of the ginger and garlic were run through the food processor with some of the cilantro and honey. This was mixed with the ground meat and almond flour and then formed into meatballs. The meatballs were cooked in an oven preheated to 350 for 16 minutes. To make the salad the rest of the onion the cucumber and tomatoes were combined with some cilantro, avocado oil, and lemon juice.  The plate! - Kris

Reviewing: Pork carnitas tacos with pickled onion and Monterey Jack cheese. Except it's in a bowl with cauliflower. 1 serving prepared  Here's what you get: Yellow onion Cilantro Lime Ground pork Chicken stock concentrate Sour cream Poblano pepper Roma tomato White wine vinegar Southwest spice Tomato paste Chipotle powder Monterey Jack cheese Flour tortilla (not pictured/used) Substitute: Cauliflower The cauliflower: In a small saucepan the cauliflower was boiled with about a half cup of water first on high heat for about 2 minutes and then the heat was turned to medium low. A little bit more water was added while the meat was cooking and at the end I used a potato masher to break up the cauliflower and then mixed it with some lime juice and cilantro. Reviewing: Lemon chive chicken with roasted carrots and potatoes  1 serving prepared  Here's what you get: Chicken cutlet  Chicken stock concentrate  Chives Flour mix  (not used) Garlic  Lemon  Sour cream  Yukon Gold potato  Tuscan heat spice Substitute: Rice flour  *To save time and avoid extra dishes this meal was prepared differently from the card instructions.   The veggies: After preheating the oven to 425 degrees I tossed the vegetables and avocado oil a little bit of salt, pepper, lemon zest and a tiny splash of lemon juice. These went into the oven for 30 minutes. The protein: After coating the chicken in the rice flour and Tuscan spice mix they were placed in a pan and cooked for five minutes per side and then set aside while the sauce was being prepared. Reviewing: Sweet chili pork bowl with bell pepper and peanuts 1 serving prepared  Here's what you get: Bell pepper  Yellow onion  Cilantro  Lime  Peanut  Ground pork  Sweet Thai chili sauce  Not used: Sweet soy glaze  Jasmine rice  Substitutes: Honey/Tamari  Cauliflower The peanuts: These are cooked using water and a little bit of sugar for the instructions until all of the liquid was dissolved in the pan. Once this was finished the peanuts were set to the side while I prepare the rest of the meal. The onions and peppers: These were cooked with a small bit of butter until the onions were going clear and everything had a nice color to it. This took around 8 minutes to complete. The protein: After the vegetables were done I have removed them to separate Bowl and began browning the ground pork. Making: Sloppy joe cups and veggies  1 serving prepared Here's what I have: For the sloppy joe mix 1 tsp: Tomato paste  Garlic paste  1/4 tsp: Mustard powder  Brown sugar  Chili powder To taste: Salt  Pepper  3 tbsp Veggie broth  1 tsp Worcestershire sauce  5 oz Ground pork  1/8 cup White onion 1 whole Scallion separate green/white  The veggies: 1/4 cup Sugar snap pea  1/2 cup Carrot Not pictured: Bacon butter  Monterey Jack cheese Preparation: To start I got some water boiling so I could steam the veggies. As soon as the water was boiling I put the carrots in the steamer basket. The sugar snap peas went on in the last 3 minutes of cooking so they wouldn't be overdone. Making: Apple pork Burger with bacon and a side of vegetables. 1 serving prepared  Here's what I have: 1.5 cups Broccoli  1/4 cup Carrot  1/4 of an Apple sliced 1/4 cup White onion  1 tsp Worcestershire sauce  Spices about 1/4 tsp each  Paprika  Garlic powder  Onion powder  Brown sugar  Salt  Pepper  5 oz Ground pork  3 strips Bacon Not pictured: 1 slice Mozzarella cheese  Mesquite BBQ sauce Preparation: The patty:  To make the burger mix I combined some apple onions along with a Worcestershire sauce and spices in a food processor and bllended them well.  This mixture is combined with the meat until well mixed. And then set aside. Next I began to boil some water and got a non-stick pan ready to cook the bacon.  Veggies and toppings: Once the pan was hot I put the bacon in for about a minute and a half per side and then put them on a paper towel to dry.  Half of the rendered Bacon F...

Reviewing: Mexican pork and street corn tacos with lime Crema 2 servings prepared  Here's what you get: Shallot  Lime  Tex-Mex paste  Ground pork  Chicken stock concentrate  Jalapeno  Sour cream  Corn  Southwest spice blend  Flour tortillas (not used) Addition: Mission gluten-free spinach herb wrap Pickle veggies: This was another quick pickled veggie item. The shallot, lime, sugar and jalapeno was added and set aside.  Per instructions I occasionally stirred the veggie mix. The crema: For the crema sour cream  pepper lime zest, veggie stock and a pinch salt were combined.  The protein: A nonstick pan was used, after draining and drying the corn I charred with a little bit of avocado oil. After charring that was removed from the pan to a separate Bowl. The pork was cooked with a little bit of avocado oil with salt and pepper until completely browned and then they spice mix and paste were stirred in. A quarter...

Reviewing: Pork bulgogi meatballs with carrots & zucchini over rice  1 serving prepared - heavily modified  Here's what you get: Zucchini Ground pork Sesame oil Sriracha Scallions Shredded carrot Jasmine rice Sesame seeds Extras: Homemade bulgogi sauce  GF pretzel crumbs  Honey  Tamari Not pictured/used: Bulgogi sauce Panko bread crumbs Ginger (I didn't receive any) Lime     (I didn't receive any) The rice: This went on first. I cooked 1/4 cup of dry rice in 1/2 cup of water with avocado oil and rice vinegar for 15 minutes. The protein: The meatballs were prepared a few hours before dinner.  I had to substitute with my own bulgogi sauce and gf pretzel crumbs in place of the panko. These were mixed and set to rest in the fridge. The bulgogi sauce is the same as a previous recipe I made with the addition of pear. Making: Pork and sweet potato bowl with kiwi salsa 1 serving prepared   Here's what I have: 4 oz Ground pork  3 Button Mushrooms sliced 2 tbsp White onion  1 Kiwi  1 Roma tomato  3 oz Sweet potato  2 tbsp Cilantro 1 Lime  1 tbsp Chicken stock concentrate  1 tbsp Garlic paste  1/4 tsp Paprika Preparation:  The oven was preheat it to 400 and after tossing the sweet potatoes with a little bit of olive oil they went in for 25 minutes. The salsa was prepared next by combining some of the onion with the kiwi, Cilantro, tomato. The line was Juiced and poured over then salt and pepper were added to taste. In a non-stick pan the ground pork remaining onion and mushroom were cooked for 5 minutes adding the stock mix last and set to simmer for 10 minutes. During plating I added some sour cream and more Cilantro.  The plate! - Kris

Reviewing: Gouda pork burgers with caramelized Sriracha onion and potato wedges 1 double burger with sides prepared  Here's what you get: Yellow onion Garlic Yukon Gold potato Sriracha, gouda cheese Sour cream Lime Potato buns (not pictured/used) Smoked paprika Ground pork Mayonnaise The potato: These were cut early in the day and left to soak in water and a bit of baking soda at room temperature. Roasting instructions; 450 degrees for 20-25 mins.  The protein: I'm doing a double paddy today so the entire 10 oz of pork was used. During the patty prep I added some sirracha. The burgers were set aside to rest while I prepared the rest of the components. When ready the patties were cooked for 6 minds each side before adding the cheese and coveringfor 3 minutes. The sauce and onion: There's a suggestion on the card to add a pinch of baking soda to the onions while cooking so I tried this out. There must be a sweet spot for this because my onions went...

Reviewing :   Szechuan pork and green Brean stir fry with peanuts and Jasmine rice 1 serving prepared   *Here's what you get: Ground pork  Green beans Ginger  Peanuts  Szechuan paste (not used) Jasmine rice  Scallions  Sweet soy glaze (not used) Substitutes: 1 tbsp Honey  1 tsp Orange and ginger seasoning 2 tbsp Tamari The rice: The full bag of rice was prepared because the other half will be used in tomorrow's dinner. This went pretty quick and was a 18-minute cook. The protein and green beans: The ground pork was quick to cook and was started during the second half of the rice cooking time so everything was completed around the same time.  The peanuts were run through a food processor to make cooking easier.  The honey was mixed with some tamari and the orange ginger seasoning before adding to the meat. The green beans were added during the second half of cooking time with the lid on. Some of the peanuts...

Making: Square patty pork burgers with roasted potatoes  1 serving prepared   Here's what I have: 4.6 oz Ground pork *Brown sugar bourbon season  1/2 cup Yukon gold potatoes  1/4 cup Extra sharp cheddar cheese  3 Button mushrooms chopped *1/2 tsp Butter *Sweet onion sea salt Homemade Pickles  Preparation: To make the patties I mixed the pork and seasoning.  Next split the meat in half then used a metal mold to make the patties square. These were mixed a few hours before dinner and then put in the fridge. After preheating the oven to 375 the potatoes were tossed in a bit of olive oil with a pinch of salt and pepper. These were roasted for 20 mins. For the topping the button mushrooms were sautéed in butter and seasoned with the sweet onion salt. When the potatoes were 10 mins away from being done the burgers cooked for 3 mins per side. After they were done cheese was added and the lid placed on the pan until the chees...

Reviewing: Pork and poblano tacos with kiwi salsa & lime Crema 1 serving prepared Here's what you get: Shallot Toma tomato Cilantro Sour cream Ground pork (5 oz used) Tomato paste Poblano pepper Kiwi Lime Mexican spice blend Chicken stock concentrate Flour tortilla (not used) Substitution: Keto tortilla boats made using this recipe: Super easy   The salsa and crema: Preparing the produce is the most involved part of this process.  Once everything is chopped and the lime juiced you just mix the components.  The protein: The poblano needs to be cooked well before adding the shallots and ground pork. This taco dish has more components to add than the previous ones I've tried.  Even so, cook time was reasonable.  Extras: The tortillas provided were swapped out for homemade keto tortilla boats. Making: Spicy pork burgers and veggies 1 serving prepared Here's what I have:   *The patty 5 oz Ground pork  1/2 tsp Beef stock concentrate  1/4 tsp Garlic powder  1/2 tsp Onion flakes  1/4 tsp Frank's Red Hot seasoning  powder  1 tbsp Butter  1/4 tsp Salt  1/2 tsp Garlic pepper  1/2 cup Green beans  1/2 cup Carrot Olive oil (not pictured) 1 tbsp Sour cream  1 tsp Sriracha  1/4 cup Sharp cheddar  Homemade pickles (not pictured)  Preperation: To start I preheated the oven to 425 drizzled the carrots in a bit of oil and tossed them with the salt and garlic pepper.  These went into the oven for 20 minutes. I mixed all of the Patty ingredients together making sure they were well Incorporated then set aside.  Next I put the sauce together and shredded cheese. Now it was time to get the cast iron hot once it was up to temp I put half the butter in the pan and spread it around. The Patt...

Reviewing: Pork & Veggie Bibimbap with Zucchini, Carrots & Jasmine rice 1 serving prepared  Here's what you get: Jasmine rice  Carrots  Ginger  White wine vinegar  Sriracha (I used my big bottle) Ground pork -5 oz used  Scallions  Zucchini  Garlic  Sesame oil  Soy sauce (not used) Tamari (substitution) The rice: I only made a 1/4 cup, using a little over 3/4 cups of water and a tsp rice vinegar it took 15 mins total to cook. The sauce and scallion pickles: Both of these were easy prep and take just a few seconds to put together after the scallions are chopped. The veggies: The prep for these was pretty quick and I like the idea of thin slicing  for the carrots. Unfortunately I destroyed my potato perler and used a spiral cutter instead. I also decided to use a non stick pan this time and... nope.  The veggies came out fine but I didn't get the same char I like when using my cast iron pan.  The protein: ...

Reviewing: BBQ pork & apple meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes & roasted green beans Here's what you get: Classic BBQ sauce  Fry seasoning  Apple  Yukon Gold potato  Ground pork  Ancho chili powder  Green beans  Sour cream  Garlic  Not pictured: Panko bread crumbs (not used) Parsley Parmesan  The potatoes: This was easy, just boil and complete as the recipe directs. I added some chopped curled parsley to mine. The protein: 5 oz of the ground pork and half of the apple was used. There's a tip on the back of the card about using cheesecloth to get the extra moisture out of the Apple. I used a small sugar duster and pressed with a spoon, pictured below. Other than this change the meatloaf prep went smoothly. To eliminate gluten product I omitted the Panko crumbs and substituted 1 tbsp parmesan. Total cook time was 25 mins.
