Baked salmon with maple mustard sauce

Making:

Baked salmon with maple mustard sauce and roasted veggies

1 serving prepared

Here's what I have:

Protein:
4.1 oz Salmon

1:1 seasoning 1/2 tbsp each
Salt
Pepper
Paprika
Mustard powder

Sauce:
0.6 oz Dijon mustard
0.9 oz Maple syrup

Veggies:
3.6 oz Carrots
2.7 oz Onion
3.8 oz Brussel sprout
0.2 oz Avocado oil

Preparation:

The oven was preheated to 425 degrees.

To prep the vegetables they were tossed with the avocado oil half of the spice mix and all of the minced garlic  and stirred until everything was coated well. The rest of the spice mix was used to coat the salmon fillet.

In a non-stick oven safe pan over medium-high heat the vegetables were added. These were cooked for about 8 minutes and then the salmon was added to the other side. The pan was put into the oven for 10 minutes.

The sauce was prepared by heating up the stone ground mustard and syrup making sure to stir well until the mixture was slightly bubbly and then it was removed from the stove top.

The plate!

The sauce was a bit more runny then I was expecting and completely coated the salmon immediately. It still tasted great just needed a little bit more time to cook and thicken up. The combination works really well over the salmon and vegetables as well.

Galette and Crepes!

Try it out: This Galette recipe!   Making:  1. Ham and cheese Galette 2. Crepe with fig syrup  3 each prepared  Here's what I have: 100 G buckwheat flour  1/4 Tsp salt  1 egg  300 Grams of whole milk  2 Tbsp maple syrup + 3 tbsp 30 Grams unsalted butter  *Ham *Cheese *Fig syrup  Preparation: A 10 inch ceramic non-stick pan was used. Medium high heat to cook. Per the directions on the website the dry ingredients were mixed with the egg, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and half of the milk. This was mixed to a paste before adding the remaining milk and stirred until smooth. Instead of melting the butter in the pan and pouring it out I took a cold stick of butter and brushed the hot pan with it until coated. I did this between each Galette and Crepe. Any crumbs or overy browned butter were wiped off if necessary. Galette! From there using a 1/3 measuring cup I added the batter and swirled around the pan until the bottom was coated.  The...

The bacon was placed on a wrap set into a baking tray and placed into the oven for 8 minutes.  While the bacon was cooking for the first 8 minutes I added the spices and veggie broth to a small pan and began to eat them up until I got a syrupy liquid.  Once the eight minutes were up I brushed one side with the sauce and placed back into the oven for three minutes. This process was repeated by flipping and brushing the other side of the bacon before returning to the oven. Total cook time was 25 minutes The plate! ...

Cheese tortilla party

Making:  Cheese tortilla! 6 servings prepared. Here's what I have: 284 Grams of king Arthur masa harina 60 Grams cheese powder  30 Grams butter powder  419 grams hot water  Preparation: The dry ingredients were combined in the mixing bowl. With the stand mixer set to stir I slowly added the hot water until the dough ball formed. Once everything was well Incorporated the adult wall was divided into six portions. A damp paper towel was placed over the dough so it didn't try out as the tortillas were cooked.  Using a parchment lined tortilla press each dough ball was pressed just before cooking on the Comal. Each side was allowed to cook for 30-45 seconds before flipping. This allowed each side to dry out just enough. The second cook was done until the tortilla puffed up and Browning was beginning to form.  The plate! - Kris
